Day 7: Xi’an Tour Day 2

Day 2 was just a touch less befuddling than Day 1.  At least we had some idea of what we were in for today.  That, in addition to the fact that there was no multiple-mausoleum debacle, made today seem positively logical.

Day 6: Butchered English

Another installment of Butchered English On T-Shirts (And Some Other Places Too)!!! There is a sign on the wall in our shower that we find very amusing.  (This hotel room kind of resembles some sort of fancy victorian sitting room that has been in disuse for fifty years.  Picture that decaying, decadent room in the Matrix where Keanu is offered the pills.  Expensive wallpaper peeling down the walls, rich threadbare carpet.  That sort of thing.  Though I don’t think anything here was actually ever expensive or rich.)

Anyway, the sign:  WHEN WASHING BATH , PLEASE NOTICE WATER TO WARM UP , SCALD CAREFULLY !

Scald carefully.  It’s just good sense.
